Monte Carlo Rent a Car in Jordan reserves the right to supply a vehicle of 'similar' size or specification.

We use the following car tariff/categories:

a. Economy & Compact.
b. Mid-Size.
c. Full Size.
d. Luxury.
e. MPV (Mini Bus/Van 9Persons).
f. 4x4WD.

We offer an 'or similar' service whereby if the vehicle that appears on your voucher is not available upon your arrival, you will be offered a similar car from the car group you have booked. See Our Fleet section for more information about each category and the available cars in each.

Jordanian laws limit cross-border rentals. Driving is allowed only within the country. The rented car could be driven out of the country on two conditions: If it's driven by a driver provided by a company, and if we are informed of your intention to drive the car outside the country before hand so we could arrange for it prior to the rental.

Of course, no extra charges applied for having the second additional driver but if you need to add more than one additional driver, please note that each extra additional driver will cost you 5JOD per day.

All accidents must be reported to the traffic police and to Monte Carlo car rental in‎‎ ‎Jordan before the vehicle is moved even if you have your own full insurance coverage or ours. We still require a printed Police Report (KROKA). 2. You have full comprehensive insurance as well as third party insurance with minimum excess applied which protects the renter against a claim made by another person in the event of any damage or injury. In the unfortunate event of an accident, or damage to the vehicle, the renter will be expected to CALL the Traffic Police 911 Or 112 to obtain a police report (KROKA) and as well Call/WhatsApp us to assist you. Kindly expected to pay the first certain amount towards the total repair cost which varies from car to car. This is the renter car insurance excess. Our excess payment starts from 550 JOD for normal car accident and this excess may increase in case of strong damage or total loss or car theft or personal accident. 3. The renter is liable to pay the applicable EXCESS FEE in case of car accident where the renter is at mistake or the Third party is unknown. Therefore, we advise our valued customers to reduce the liability of excess fees, so, you can purchase the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) which will reduce your liability to Zero deductible in case of car accident or car total loss only), however, this option does ‎not apply to any damages to glasses/windscreens, rims and tyres, the underside ‎and the roof, the ‎interior of the car, towing charges or where the vehicle is driven ‎off-road, without ‎due care and attention, negligence or where the driver is under the ‎influence of ‎alcohol or other drugs. Theft Protection Insurance (TPI) is an agreement by which a rental company agrees not to hold the renter responsible for theft but the renter should carry the responsibility if s/he violates the conditions such as leaving the vehicle in an empty area, forgetting the key inside the car or any kind of carelessness; therefore, we have the right to charge the renter for any loss or damage that may be caused due to carelessness. Thus, we add 15 JOD as a mandatory fee for all of the rental period to reduce the excess amount to 350 JOD in case of car theft only. Also, you still can get Zero Excess as mentioned below in the Optional Extras. 5. All accidents must be reported to the Traffic Police, just please Call 911 Or 112 and are kindly requested to Call Or WhatsApp Us at +962 79 601 36 36 before the vehicle is moved (As you must bring a Printed Police Report called (KROKA), without bringing the Printed Police Report (KROKA), you will be responsible for full value of the car & others and all of the liabilities even if you have full comprehensive insurance or any additional insurance coverage. 6. We can only provide you with a receipt only from us. Thus, kindly check your credit card/debit card insurance policy and ask them what documents do they need from you in order to avoid any loss later on.   What’s included in your Full Comprehensive Insurance (Minimum Excess Applied): * Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). * Personal Accident Insurance (PAI). * Theft Protection Insurance (TPI). * Third Party Liabilities (TPL).

Further, the Renter shall provide Monte Carlo with a valid accident report issued by the police traffic (or other relevant authority). Otherwise, all costs and expenses for reinstating and delivering the Vehicle to Monte Carlo in the same condition as it was received, shall be borne by the Renter. 7. In case of agreement on the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW); the Renter accepts the optional Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) by paying, in advance, the equivalent premium specified on the Rental Agreement and here. The Renter is exempted from liability for loss of the vehicle or in case of car accident, (other than caused by theft), provided that a valid Police Report is presented. The Renter acknowledges that any coverage becomes null and void in the absence of a permanent Police Report. Moreover, if ‎you violate the ‎legal regulations, such as drinking and driving, exceeding speed limits, ‎violating traffic ‎lights, leave the car key inside the car and any other illegal conduct, you will lose the insurance ‎completely. On the ‎other hand, even if you have an extra insurance (SCDW), this option does ‎not apply to any damages to scratches, windows/windscreens, wheels and tyres, the underside ‎and the roof, the ‎interior of the car, towing charges or where the vehicle is driven ‎off-road, without ‎due care and attention, negligence or where the driver is under the ‎influence of ‎alcohol or other drugs. a.

Even if a renter has personal automobile insurance, s/he may not be totally protected. For example, if you decline our SCDW or Super Cover and rely on your own insurance or Credit Card, you probably would be responsible for paying your usual deductible which varies from the value of 550JOD to repair the car or 3000 JOD if the car was fully damaged. However, if renter declines the SCDW or Super Cover offered by Monte Carlo Rent a Car in Jordan, s/he will be responsible for up to the full fair market value of the car if it is damaged, vandalized or stolen during the rental period. You may also be responsible for reimbursing the car rental company for the revenue lost by not being able to use the car while it is being repaired or not recovered due to theft ("loss of use").

b.

We strongly advise our customers to purchase the SCDW & Super Cover, so you are covered in all eventualities and therefore you will NOT pay any excess amount whether it's your responsibility or not if you have a crash.

The (SCDW) is subject to certain exclusions which include without limit, when damage is caused to windows/windscreens, wheels and tyres, the underside or roof of the car or where the vehicle is driven off-road or on un-tarmacked roads, without due care and attention, negligently or where the driver is under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Your liability to pay for the damage will therefore not be waived in these circumstances and you may be liable for the full cost. Therefore, using the vehicle in violation of any of the use restrictions like what mentioned above and in the rental agreement could void the (SCDW) and Super Cover and leave the renter fully responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle. If you would like us to waive your liability to pay the excess referred to above, then you can purchase our damage excess waiver product (Super Cover). However, please be aware that even with this product you will still have to compensate the car rental partner for damage which falls within one of the exclusions identified above or in the rental contract. All accidents must be reported to the Traffic Police, just please Call 911 Or 112 and are kindly requested to Call Or WhatsApp Us at +962 79 601 36 36 before the vehicle is moved (As you must bring a Printed Police Report called (KROKA), without bringing the Printed Police Report (KROKA), you will be responsible for the full value of the car & others and all of the liabilities even if you have full comprehensive insurance or any additional insurance coverage.

a. Check out the condition of your car! It is wise idea to inspect the vehicle prior to leaving the rental depot. Any damage or unusual dents/scratches should be noted on the contract before you drive away. Go back to the rental office if needed to have this acknowledged in writing. Some companies may enforce a hard line policy regarding this.
b. Make sure that the car registration card is inside the car, for if the police stop you, they ask you to present them the car registration card, your driving licence and the rental contract.

Imagine that your brand-new car which cost you $20,000 is parked in front of your house. A stranger knocks your house door and asks you to lend him/her your car for the weekend and s/he promises you to pay $100 (about one-half of one percent of the value of the car) when he brings your car back Monday morning. What would you do? On the one hand, you are intrigued with the idea of getting $100 for lending your car to someone that you don’t know. On the other hand, the risk may be too great! You don't even know this person or even where s/he lives. What if s/he doesn't bring the car back? You wouldn't even know where to look for it! What if s/he damages the car or behaves irresponsibly? This scenario demonstrates our need to secure information regarding the credit-worthiness of our renters.
However, we sure want to "lend" our cars for a fee to people who want to "borrow" them, but we also want to get them back in the same condition we lent them. Credit cards and valid drivers' licences usually provide the only information we have about our renters. That’s why many car rental companies no longer rent on a cash basis under any circumstances. Renters should ask about a company's rental policies when they make a reservation.

a. It is a condition of hire for the primary driver to present his/her Credit Card to our representative upon arrival in order to take a security Deposit of 100JOD which depends on the car type (This is for all basic vehicles and may increase if a specialist or premium vehicle is hired. If in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us). b. Debit Cards or Switch cards are NOT acceptable; it must be a valid credit card. C. The deposit is for damage excess that will become applicable if the car is returned with any new damage or if the renter violates the legal regulations. D. Please ensure that you have checked your vehicle carefully before starting and when finishing your rental. E. If you return the vehicle in a satisfactory condition, we will simply release the security deposit at once. F. All payments must be written on the copy of your contract.

Monte Carlo may charge renters an extra "drop-off" fee for cars picked up at one location and returned it in another city, so the company needs to retrieve the car, either by hiring someone to drive the car back or by having the car shipped back. Customers interested in a one-way rental should specifically ask if there are any drop-off fees or charges for additional mileage, and what locations are authorized for such rental car returns. In all cases, there are added expenses to the company for such rentals.

To guarantee that you will get your favoured car hire during peak season as we get extremely busy. So it is always advisable to book your vehicle as early as you can in order to have your favoured car at the lowest price. If you decide to book only 1-2 days before, we can not guarantee to offer you a car at the same price, as these rates may change, according to availability, level of bookings, holidays and other factors.
